The Firm’s focus is on dispute management and resolution

The Firm devotes its practice to the resolution of civil (i.e., non criminal) disputes. Historically, members of the Firm have focused their practice on construction litigation, particularly as regards the liability of architects, engineers and owners. However, our attorneys have been associated with large and small law firms and have pursued claims both as Plaintiff and Defense counsel, including construction litigation, commercial litigation, local counsel services, product liability, personal injury, bankruptcy litigation and insurance coverage litigation. The experience gained as practitioners on both sides of the docket and in numerous substantive areas provides an advantage for the clients of the Firm.

Capshaw & Associates was founded by Richard A. Capshaw in April 2007 after more than twenty five years as a civil trial lawyer. The philosophy of the Firm is to provide quality legal services at a fair price. The Firm has the depth and experience to resolve almost any type of commercial dispute. The Firm’s philosophy is that responsiveness to client needs is of paramount importance.

The Firm attempts, when appropriate, to follow the old Texas Ranger model (see statue at Love Field in Dallas) One Riot, One Ranger. We staff the cases to provide the depth and responsiveness necessary, but endeavor to avoid the pyramid effect utilized by many of the competitors to the Firm. Prompt responsiveness, flexibility, and focus on the needs and desires of each individual client is the goal of this Firm.
